2021 Summer Meeting @ Lomira Municipal Building

Agenda – August 2021

  • Old Business
    • Bylaws (Present New Bylaws)
    • Remove three trees starting from the east, those are the worst.  Use ~$650 donation (Gary Renderman has this set aside) to have a dedication tree placed for Kenny Immel.  Mike Sacotte volunteered to replace the dedication stone for the tree behind the first base side on the north field as well.
    • Infield Grading (discuss as part of new business, field renovations)
    • Review Coby/Porter Sacotte for grounds services.
  • New Business
    • North Field Renovation Project
      • Repair frost damage to both dugouts. This will include removal of existing concrete in dugouts, straightening the fences that are heaved from frost and re-pouring dugouts.  Start week of August 15.  Estimated cost: under $1000. Labor and machine rentals will be donated. Association will need to cover costs of materials, fence hardware, concrete, fuel.
      • Drain tile under infield (optional). Start after MS tournament. Estimated cost: $1,500.  Labor and machine rentals will be donated.  Association will need to cover costs of materials, gravel, drain tile, etc.
      •  Laser grade infield, remove berm on edge of infield. Estimated cost: ??? (Get cost from Paul Schellin or Larry Fleischman).
      • Add infield conditioner to surface, Turface MVP or similar product. Estimated cost: ??? (Get cost from Tom/Tony Cole).
    • Middle Field Renovation Project
      • Drain tile under infield (optional). Estimated cost: $1,500.  Labor and machine rentals will be donated.  Association will need to cover costs of materials, gravel, drain tile, etc.

    • Pour concrete pads for bleachers and new score booth (built by Lomira HS) at the south diamond.  Estimated cost: $1000.  Labor and machine rentals will be donated.  Association will need to cover costs of materials, gravel, concrete, etc.  Should be done at same time as north field dugouts to save cost on concrete delivery.  Need to discuss trenching electric from scoreboard to the new booth as well (Tony/Tom Cole and Luke Luedtke).
